Brazil is not a wasteland. | Cantos do Sabiá
João Lucas França – Radio host and communicator for the Sabiá Center.
April 15th is Soil Conservation Day! A date that alerts us to the impacts of devastation. From burning, deforestation, but also from soil poisoning, and everything that causes deserts to take over what were once forests.
According to the United Nations, 24 billion tons of fertile soil disappears every year. This directly impacts the world’s food supply, food production, global warming, and ultimately, soil degradation. We cannot be a wasteland! What can be done to stop the devastation?
Come listen to Cantos do Sabiá and get inside this discussion! This time we talked with agricultural technician Raimundo Bertino! Raimundo is an agricultural technician, technical staff of the Centro Sabiá, expert in organic agriculture and master in rural extension.
Cantos do Sabiá is the Centro Sabiá’s Podcast! Weekly we discuss agroecology, sustainability and politics in the countryside and in the city! The podcast goes live every Monday, with the complete interview edition that originally made up the Center’s radio program. https://spoti.fi/31VtUj5
