This Wednesday, October 4, the National Articulation of Agroecology (ANA), in partnership with the Semi-Arid Articulation of Pernambuco (ASA Pernambuco) and the Jurema Center: Feminism, Agroecology and Rurality, are holding the first workshop to formulate proposals for the III National Plan for Agroecology and Organic Production (III Planapo). The activity will be remote and will take place from 2pm on the Zoom platform. See link below.

The organizations invite networks, associations and organizations in the field of agroecology and family farming to participate in the initiative, which aims to take the proposals made by Pernambuco to the national level, during the workshops.

This action is part of the national mobilization of “Public Policies for Agroecology in the Mouths of the People”, which is the new advocacy initiative promoted by the National Articulation of Agroecology (ANA). The mobilization is taking place in all Brazilian states, plus the Federal District, and aims to contribute to the National Policy on Agroecology and Organic Production (PNAPO), especially with the construction of the III Planapo.

The states’ proposals will be systematized into a single document that will be presented at the XII Brazilian Congress of Agroecology (XII CBA), which takes place in Rio de Janeiro between November 20 and 23 this year. The proposals will also be debated in the National Commission for Agroecology and Organic Production (CNAPO), which has equal participation between government and civil society and which will build the next Planapo, which will run from 2024 to 2027.
