Is food political? | Real Food
João Lucas França – Radio host and communicator for the Sabiá Center.

Today’s real food continues our discussions on food month – October. This week, our question is simple, but loaded with importance, in a country that has faced governments that have brought Brazil back to the map of hunger, food insecurity and misery for so many.
In a country where almost half the population faces food insecurity on a daily basis, and also thinking about the many discussions about food, access to nutritious and quality food, we ask: is food political?
To talk to us about these issues, Paulo Mansan , the state leader of the Landless Rural Workers’ Movement (MST), joins us today ! Paulo is an activist for agrarian reform and rural rights, and is part of the coordination of the Mãos Solidárias campaign.

The Comida de Verdade Program goes on Paulo Freire University Radio – AM 820 Khz! Comida de Verdade is part of the public call for broadcasting by the Radio Universitária. Then you can also listen to it on our virtual platforms: Click here and follow us on Spotify!
