The Centro de Desenvolvimento Agroecológico Sabiá, the Centro de Estudos do Trabalho e de Assessoria ao Trabalhador e à Trabalhadora (CETRA) and the Instituto Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN) invite you to the online launch of the publication The Reality of the LGBT+ Population in the Rural Environment of Northeast Brazil: A Quantitative Surveywhich will take place on February 25 at 10am.
The aim of the research was to investigate the living conditions of the LGBT+ population living in rural areas of the Northeast and at least partially remedy the immense lack of data on their social situation, since this population is usually made invisible in quantitative surveys. The study used a structured questionnaire to generate social indicators related to income, work, schooling, race/ethnicity, access to food and water, among other aspects.
To present and discuss the results, the organizations from Pernambuco, Ceará and Rio Grande do Norte involved in the research will hold a launch seminar. Those interested in taking part should simply register to receive a link to the room before the event.
