Water, Coexistence and Agroforestry Conservation! | Cantos do Sabiá
João Lucas França – Radio host and communicator for the Sabiá Center.
O Cantos do Sabiá opens the month of October talking about springs! The importance of water for coexistence and environmental conservation! That’s why activities like the Waters of the Mountains Project is fundamental to rescuing the springs.
Springs are sources of water. They are vital for the survival of ecosystems, precisely because they provide clean, pure water for rivers, lakes and underground aquifers. Water is the key word for sustaining local biodiversity: fauna, flora, and also for balancing natural cycles! This all involves environmental conservation.
Protecting springs means mitigating extreme climates, helping people live together in the countryside and in the city, and making water flow – which is essential for human life!
And it is to talk about this very important subject that we have invited Raimundo Bertino to our table today, Raimundo Bertino – agricultural technician, technical team of the sabiá center, specialist in organic agriculture and master in rural extension. Raimundo is the author of the book “Cumaru Em Destaque: aspectos socioeconômicos, históricos e culturais. .
