The future needs to be agroecological! | Cantos do Sabiá

Opening the discussions for the World Youth Day, March 30th, Cantos do Sabiá brings the theme – The Future Must Be Agroecological. But talking about youth is to talk about challenges. It is thinking about a future that is possible for the countryside, for the youth of the countryside, for the defense of agriculture, agroecology, and biodiversity.

In an increasingly destructive and less nature-oriented world, how can we ensure the survival of nature, greenery, and the countryside? How can we guarantee the survival of the biomes and the permanence of a youthful guardianship of nature, the countryside, and family agriculture? There is no other way out. The future needs to be agroecological.

And it is to talk about this very important theme that today we invite Janaína Ferraz to our conversation! Janaína is a black woman, educator, Agroecology activist, and mother. She is a youth advisor for the Centro Sabiá.
