On Monday (11), the first module of the Social Network Content Production Workshop took place in the city of Gravatá, in the agreste region of Pernambuco. The first training session was given by Darliton Silva, a communicator from the Sabiá Center, and was attended by eight young people, as well as Janaína Ferraz, technical advisor for youth at the Sabiá Center.

The aim of the training is to develop processes and techniques for writing, producing photos and videos for social networks, bringing basic notions of how social networks work, algorithms, organic publications and the use of platforms that help manage networks.

“The Commission of Young Agroecology Multipliers is on two of the main social networks, Instagram and Facebook, and already has an established routine for producing and disseminating content, but we need to build strategies and develop more assertive approaches and audience reach,” said Darliton.

For Raiza Karollaine, a young person from CJMA, the workshop taught her how to capture and edit photos and videos, showed her how Instagram tools work and how to use them strategically. “It was extremely important to learn the techniques for using the tools on Instagram for CJMA and all the young people,” said Raiza.

Centro Sabiá sees communication as a strategy for mobilization and social transformation, and to this end, communication is present in all its actions.
