Yes, hope for a new year, for an agroecological 2024. We have a lot to celebrate, reflect on and fight for when we think about family farming, agroecology and our struggles! That’s why our conversation here today is different, it’s about hope! What is this hope?

After the Covid-19 pandemic, after the Bolsonaro government and its abandonment in every sense of the word: social, political, environmental and health, we are living today in a moment that we haven’t experienced in Brazil for 10 years: a full democracy. No interruptions!

But the struggle continues. What kind of fight will we be fighting next year? What hope do we have for change, for an end to hunger, for urban, agroecological and family farming?
