Cantos do Sabiá is here to talk about our land and our future! Let’s discuss the changes needed for this future. It’s June, the month of the environment! Today we’re talking about this very important date, World Environment Day, on June 5th.

And look, the discussion doesn’t just happen here, right? This year’s theme for Environment Week 2024 has been set by the United Nations (UN) and is: “Our Earth. Our Future. We Are #GenerationRestoration”.

A theme to discuss climate change, the Earth and the restoration of our biomes. We need to put a stop to deforestation and the systematic destruction of ecosystems and start thinking about the future!

A future that we can either build now or prepare for “the new end of the world.” Shall we discuss the ways forward? Isabelle Meunier , associate professor in the Department of Forest Science at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco, talks to us about the subject ! Isabelle is a forestry engineer, specialist in Ecology, Master in Soil Science and PhD in Forestry Sciences.
