Youth walking the path of good living | Cantos do Sabiá

João Lucas França – Broadcaster and communicator for the Sabiá Center.

August is the month to celebrate youth: August 30 is World Youth Day! But for the young people who are part of agroecology, this goes far beyond a date. For 20 years, this trajectory has represented a way of producing, of politicizing, of existing in the countryside with autonomy and awareness.

Rural youth are united to strengthen, create, farm and multiply! That’s why today we’re talking about young people who multiply agroecology. We’re going to present the CJMA – Commission of Young Agroecology Multipliers and reflect on this new moment, a new era for these young people to follow paths towards Good Living.

It’s time to fight for new strategies, create new links and affirm the role of young people as multipliers! But what is this Good Living in a field with so many challenges? In a field where young people aren’t sure if they’ll be able to study, work or stay?

We need to talk, we need to hear the voices of young people! This week our program opens the microphones to hear the voices of so many young people who live and multiply agroecology every day.

Cantos do Sabiá is the Sabiá Center Podcast! Every week we discuss agroecology, sustainability and politics in the countryside and the city! The podcast goes live every Monday, with the complete interview edition that originally made up the Center’s radio program. https://spoti.fi/31VtUj5
