National School Feeding Day | Cantos do Sabiá
João Lucas França – Broadcaster and communicator for the Sabiá Center.
Cantos do Sabiá discusses National School Feeding Day, October 21! With the resumption of a national government that reinforces public food policies, such as the Food Acquisition Program (PAA) and the National School Feeding Program (PNAE), it is necessary to think of ways to guarantee a healthy, balanced diet that takes into account the specificities of our country.
We are at a fundamental moment to think about agroecological food, without the use of poisons and pesticides, valuing local and family production, which prioritizes people’s health – with Food Sovereignty and nutritional security!
Are we on the right track? That’s what we’re discussing today with Nutritionist Luana de Lima Cunha! She is currently Food Systems Advisor at FIAN Brazil. Builds the School Feeding Observatory (ÓAÊ) and the Pernambuco branch of the Alliance for Adequate and Healthy Food. Nutritionist, specialist in rural family health and researcher at CulinAfro/UFRJ Macaé.
Cantos do Sabiá is the Sabiá Center Podcast! Every week we discuss agroecology, sustainability and politics in the countryside and the city! The podcast goes live every Monday, with the complete interview edition that originally made up the Center’s radio program. https://spoti.fi/31VtUj5
