Eating well is a right! | Cantos do Sabiá
João Lucas França – Broadcaster and communicator for the Sabiá Center.

Have you ever stopped to think that the food on your plate is the result of a series of political, economic and social decisions? The type of food that reaches your table, how it was produced and who grew it are questions that say a lot about the world we are helping to build.
Eating is a right. Eating well is a struggle! It’s our fight, the fight of Agroecology. Today, we’re talking about eating well as a right, starting with the 8th edition of the Conscious Consumption Campaign by Diaconia, a social organization committed to working to promote and defend people’s rights through public policies.
The Diaconia is launching this year’s campaign with the theme: “Eating well is a right!”. We’re talking about eating well today.
And it is to discuss this very important topic that we have invited Roseane Simões, Diaconia’s field technician in the Sertão do Pajeú (PE) and a specialist in rural education, to our virtual table.

Cantos do Sabiá is the Sabiá Center Podcast! Every week we discuss agroecology, sustainability and politics in the countryside and the city! The podcast goes live every Monday, with the complete interview edition that originally made up the Center’s radio program. https://spoti.fi/31VtUj5
