This Tuesday, February 8th , the second season of the show Comida de Verdade premieres. The issue addresses the perspective of agroecological solidarity in the face of hunger and the political scenario in Brazil.
True Food dialogues with the population of the peripheral neighborhoods of Recife and the Metropolitan Region about the importance of adequate food for health and quality of life.
Through interviews, reports and testimonies/cases , it seeks to convey information about the forms of production, processing, access and consumption of healthy agroecological foods and proposes to make visible urban agriculture practices that value and encourage the cultivation of herbs, spices and foods diverse in urban spaces.
Offering information on public policies, health and nutrition, valuing the local culture and the autonomy of the people over their food is the objective of Comida de Verdade.
This week’s guest is Alexandre Pires . Alexandre is a sertanejo, biologist, coordinator of the Sabiá Center and the Brazilian Semiarid Articulation (ASA) and member of the Executive Nucleus of the National Agroecology Articulation (ANA) .
