Survey of the LGBT+ Population in the Countryside | Cantos do Sabiá
João Lucas França, broadcaster and communicator at Centro Sabiá.
This week the Cantos do Sabiá, our weekly podcast, talks about the struggle of the LGBTQIA+ population in the countryside! The life of the LGBT+ population is already full of challenges – and it becomes even more difficult when we don’t know how to fight it, nor do we have enough data in official research, so that there is a defense plan against violence in the countryside against the LGBT+ population.
That is why the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Norte, in partnership with the Sabiá Center and the Center for Work Studies and Worker Advice (CETRA), produces research in rural areas, to study “The Living Conditions of the Rural LGBT+ Population of the Northeast Region” ( bit.ly/lgbtrural )! Through information, we can change the game, and produce defense fronts for the LGBT+ population throughout the northeast rural environment!
And it is to talk about this topic, that we invite to the program of the week the researcher Rafael Toitio, doctor in Social Sciences and professor at IFRN, and also Ferreira Lima, technician in agroecology and professor!
Cantos do Sabiá is the Sabiá Center Podcast! Weekly we discuss agroecology, sustainability and politics in the countryside and in the city! The podcast airs every Monday, with the complete edition of the interview that originally made up the Center’s radio program. https://spoti.fi/31VtUj5
