Climate Justice: Is it possible? | Real Food
João Lucas França – Radio host and communicator for the Sabiá Center.
Climate Justice: Is it possible? Today’s Real Food brings us to an increasingly necessary discussion when we think about the climate future we are beginning to live in; the world is warming, and global warming changes everything! From living with the weather, planting and harvesting, to life in the countryside and in the city.
Changes affect everyone’s life. Be it animals, flora or people. But the consequences are not parallel, after all, when we ask ourselves: Who suffers first from climate change, water shortages, food shortages – from the most extreme climates? The answer is always the same: the rope goes to the most vulnerable side.
Is climate justice possible in a world where few enjoy many natural resources? On a planet where many suffer catastrophes and extreme climate change caused by the wealthy minority?
To discuss these issues, today we spoke to Lídia Lins – lawyer, researcher, popular educator, social organizer, cultural accelerator and activist for anti-racism and human rights. Co-founder of the Ibura Mais Cultura Collective.
