Are you coming with us? We spent the year talking about the Sabiá Center’s 30th anniversary. 2023 was a year of much transformation, a struggle for urban and family farming, and also against time, against the dismantling that has taken place in recent years of politics in Brazil.

A year of hope for an agroecological future. And after 30 years, Sabiá’s fundamental mission is the same: to plant more life for a better world, developing agroecological family farming and citizenship. For 30 years, transforming lives! But whose lives? Where does this root of defending the countryside come from – and how can we strengthen this struggle for the coming year?

2024 is upon us, and the challenges are the same! Are you coming with us? Joining us today to talk about hope, transformation and, of course, participation, is the social mobilization coordinator of Centro Sabiá – Carlos Magno! He is a veterinarian with a master’s degree in Agroecology and Sustainable Rural Development. He is a member of the governance panel of the Semiarid Latin America Platform.
