What really fed us? | Real Food
João Lucas França – Broadcaster and communicator for the Sabiá Center.

Real Food – your weekly podcast is back! And we’re back reflecting on everything we face in 2025. We talk about politics, food, urban agriculture and family farming. We talk about climate change and, always, we continue the fight for a possible and sustainable future, confronting environmental racism, climate injustice and defending agroecology as a path to life.
We turn to the political achievements and struggles of 2025 and the major agroecological events that took place throughout the year: from the productive backyards to the new Agroecology class at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco; from the debate around the Devastation Bill to the National Urban Agriculture Meeting; from Caatinga Climate Week to COP30, held in Brazil!
Today, Comida de Verdade takes a trip through all our conversations from 2025. We’re going to look back at the agroecological year in the cities, our actions – our advocacy, mine and yours – for collective urban agriculture by women.
We ask: what really fed us? Let’s listen to the many voices that filled our pots and plates with real food. We’re back! Come with us, with Real Food!

Comida de Verdade is your Saturday program to talk about food and agroecology, valuing our markets and local culture.
