This week the In Tune in to Nature, our weekly radio show, takes us to the struggle of the LGBTQIA+ population in the countryside! We talk about the invisibility of LGBT+ populations in rural areas, and also the challenges of these people, due to lack of data, information, and also defenses, at a time where information blackouts are increasingly frequent.

Contrary to this setback, and the blackouts in information, the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Norte, in partnership with the Centro Sabiá and the Center for Work Studies and Worker Advice (CETRA) , produces research in rural areas, to study “The Living Conditions of the Rural LGBT+ Population of the Northeast Region”!

And it is to talk about this topic, that we invite to the program of the week the researcher Rafael Toitio , doctor in Social Sciences and professor at IFRN, and also Ferreira Lima, technician in agroecology and professor!

The program Em Sintonia com a Natureza airs every Sunday on Rádio Pajeú FM 99.3 FM at 6:30 am (Afogados da Ingazeira/PE), on Rádio Top Rio FM 90.5 at 7 am (Rio Formoso/PE) and also on Rádio Pop 104.9 FM at 7 am (Surubim/PE). It also airs on Webrádio da Articulação do Semiárido (ASA) and Rádio Web Agroecologia!
