Is there youth in the city? | Real Food
João Lucas França – Broadcaster and communicator for the Sabiá Center.

We have no doubt that there are young people in Recife. But being young is more than being young, more than being new. It has to be good and new! It has to be agroecology!
March 30 is World Youth Day, and Comida de Verdade asks: Is there youth in the city? In a world that is heating up faster every day, that seems to be disconnecting from nature, that is increasingly ultra-processed and chemicalized… Is there any future left for young people?
And in the cities, is there any youth? We need to change the way we live, the way we plant. To be close to the land. We need to talk.
And that’s why she’s joining us at Comida de Verdade – Manuela Fernanda! Manuela is an urban farmer, a member of the Horta Popular Agroecológica Dandara, in Peixinhos, Olinda (PE), and a student at the Marias School.

Comida de Verdade is your Saturday program to talk about food and agroecology, valuing our markets and local culture. Every Saturday at 10 . 30am on Rádio Universitária 99.9 FM and rebroadcast on Rádio Universitária Paulo Freire 820 AM – Podcast format on Spotify from the Sabiá Center! https://spoti.fi/31VtUj5
